The Global
Wealth Initiative

About the Initiative

A wider world
of possibility.

Our mission is to help nations understand where global investment can support their economies, industries, and citizens.

Our Origins

Built around
a simple
question.

Founded byKristofer Madu

How can more nations access the knowledge and relationships behind global investment?

The Global Wealth Initiative grew from this question, informed by experience in investment banking and private equity.

The initiative brings together researchers and practitioners across economics, public policy, artificial intelligence, and institutional investment. It connects those perspectives to the needs of public institutions exploring their next step.

That may mean a new capability, an extension of an established program, or a focused question about a changing industry. We begin with what the institution already does and where our work could add value.

The Principle Behind the Work

Global relationships.
Local relevance.
Long-term perspective.

Investment opportunity matters most when it connects to a nation’s priorities and to the people its institutions serve.

Independent

GWI is an independent initiative. Our work is shaped around the research question and the institution’s needs.

Fully Pro Bono

We offer our current research and support at no cost, with a focused scope agreed together.

Country First

Existing capabilities, national priorities, and practical constraints guide where we focus and what we propose.

A few useful
distinctions.

Who is the initiative for?

We engage with public investment institutions, sovereign wealth funds, development institutions, and government teams exploring investment and economic priorities.

Is GWI an investment fund?

GWI is an independent research and support initiative. It does not manage sovereign assets or make investment decisions for partner institutions.

Does a nation need to be creating a sovereign wealth fund?

No. Research can support an established program, an expanded capability, or a specific question about technology, policy, or investment.

How does a collaboration begin?

We start with a conversation about priorities and existing work. Together, we identify a focused question and a useful first output.

Is the initiative affiliated with a university?

GWI is independent. Individual academic or professional affiliations do not imply institutional sponsorship or endorsement.

A conversation is the first step

What could we
explore together?

Every institution has a different starting point. Let’s understand yours.
